Elizabeth Swinburne


Elizabeth Swinburne is a British artist who currently lives and works in Amsterdam.  She is a highly respected educator and is currently the Coordinator of Glass at the Rietveld Academy.  Over the last 18 years, she has held key academic posts in the UK.  She was Senior Tutor for glass at the Royal College of Art in London.  She has been an active artist since her graduation in 1983.  Her world-renown work is in major international collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Kunstmuseum, Dusseldorf; Hokkaido Museum, Japan; and the Museum of Applied Arts, Prague.  She was recently awarded the Joel Philip Myers Prize at the International Exhibition of Glass Kanazawa.
